IMPACT Programs

Our IMPACT programs provide hands-on STEM education to historically underrepresented groups in science and technology fields. The MOST is committed to providing learning opportunities to students from these groups through FREE interactive programming and collaboration with community partners.

Through hands-on programming and collaboration with our community partners, our STEAM Explorers Inclusion Programs—MACNY Future Women in STEM and KeyBank Future Innovators—are one way the MOST ensures that science learning is available for all!

MACNY Future Women in STEM
This free series for girls in 6th-8th grades brings female professionals from local companies to lead students in a fun, hands-on activity together to spark interest in high-tech careers.
KeyBank Future Innovators in STEM
A free monthly challenge-based workshop for Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) students featuring local BIPOC speakers, activity leaders, and mentors.
STEM Inclusion Showcase
Seven monthly showcases highlight achievements and innovations of underrepresented groups of scientists from around the world.

Friendly
Science
Sensory Friendly Science resources, programs, and exhibits support STEM learning for people with sensory processing difficulties, autism, and other developmental disabilities.
National Grid Science Learning Partnership
This collaboration with the Syracuse City School District welcomes every kindergarten, 4th-, 5th-, and 6th-grade student in the district to the museum for a field trip.
