The Telecommunications Lab presented by Luck Grove tells the story of long-distance communication, from visual signals and telegraphy to satellites and fiber-optics. Tour our Amateur Radio Station (K2MST), learn Morse code, try your hand at cable splicing, and more as you explore the tools and technologies of telecommunication methods throughout history—and today!

- Explore key skills and tools in the field at the hands-on Telecommunications Skill Stations
- Learn Morse Code and send messages to your friends using the Morse Code Dialer
- Craft a message and choose how you’ll send it, from telegraphy to satellite, on the Message Wall
- Visit the MOST’s Amateur Radio Station (K2MST) to find out more about radio communication and operation
Amateur Radio Links & Resources
- On Friday, February 23, 2018, the MOST made contact with the International Space Station and communicated with NASA Astronaut Mark Vande Hei using the ham radio exhibit.
